We're all about the DIY. But if you want to Do It Yourself today, you'll probably have to Design It Yesterday — and so we present this, our catalog of efforts either calculated or cobbled. tension headache design covers a number of different disciplines, the most obvious being the one that got you here: The Web.

web We designed this site (as well as writing the content, preparing the imagery and coding it). tension headache offers site design, organization, content creation and build services for hire. You can see more about this on our web design page. After all, you wouldn't be here if we weren't here, and we wouldn't be here if you weren't. Or something like that.

print Years of employment with a respected New York City typographer informed the tension headache approach to print design, although his influence might not be evident at first (or even second or third) glance. That's because we often did the exact opposite of what he was trying to tell us. When one is unburdened by formal training, the urge to transgress any and all teachings continually rears its obstreperous head. Yet grains of his wisdom did eventually sink in nevertheless… or so we hope.

stuff We've learned the hard way that simply imagining a thing can sometimes get you into the craziest sorts of situations. Before you know it, the apartment has been transformed into a sweatshop given over entirely to whatever task the Tension Headache Wacky Idea Machine has just spewed out. That's why fake animal fur, broken clocks, foam core, sharp cutting tools and various adhesives can be found tucked into corners around here. Not every Wacky Idea attains a physical existence, but many have or are presently at some stage or other of birth. stuff has the stuff!
